Kose Mask White

My nose is disgustingly filled with blackheads and whiteheads. So I decided to try the Kose mask White again.

I only try it for my nose this time round as I tried it a few weeks ago and it felt slightly dry for my skin.

Although this is supposed to be a whitening mask, the sales assistant told me that it is also for removing dirt and blakheads.

Many people commented that this mask is very effective is pulling out blackheads as it is a peel-off mask. So the logic is that the mask will stick onto your skin and the tip of the blackheads and will then get pulled out together when you peel it off.

On the other hand, many commented that it does nothing at all for the blackheads.

The texture is quite watery surprisingly. You have to be careful not to let it stain your clothing. Apply generously as it will be difficult to peel the mask off if the layer is too thin.

Let it dry while you can go around doing your usual things.

Depending on the thickness, the mask takes about 20 to 40 minutes to dry.

After the mask is dried, peel it off. If you are doing a full face mask, make sure to pull it upwards from the side of the face, to reduce the risk early sagging of face.
This is the dried mask. I wasn’t able to do a very good macro shot for this. But those white circles are the prominent blackheads that the mask managed to pull out. I also see that there are other little ones stuck onto the mask too.

However, by comparing the before and after pictures, there still seems a long way before the mask can thoroughly rid the nose of blackheads. However, observing the photos, it seems more effective for whiteheads.

Conclusion: I think it needs regular usage to gradually see improvements and not effective for stubborn blackheads. Not able to comment on the whitening effect as I did not buy this for whitening.

GNC Vitamin E Ointment

I had zero intention to buy this ointment thing.

It was because I joined GNC member and first purchase of 3 items would entitle me to double reward points. Sine this is one of the cheapest product in their store, I bought it.

It’s GNC home brand and so I didn’t expect it to perform magic. I tried it on the driest parts; ie the knees and elbows.

The texture is like those old school Tiger Balm ointment.

It doesn’t really feel oily or sticky, but it is rather difficult to wash off the fingers after applying. You have to use a lot of soap, but it doesn’t get washed off completely either. Running water alone over the fingers used to apply the ointment, the water form droplets on the skin, like some waterproof product covering the skin.

Less than an hour after application, my elbows and knees feels softer to the touch. I was impressed! However, the next morning after my bath, I didn’t apply the ointment before I head out to work. On the way, I felt my elbows again and they feel the same as any other normal days.

Conclusion: I think it’s more like a protective ointment. But perhaps I should use it more regularly for a longer time to assess whether it does improve skin with long usage. Not too bad a buy since it is cheap.

~H2O+ Overnight Perfecting Peel

This product was actually an impulse buy.

I was buying the Face Oasis moisturizer from ~H20+ off http://www.strawberrynet.com as mine ran out. Since buying 3 items will warrant an additional 3% discount and I only manage to get Shitty to buy one item, I was browsing around for another 1 item to make up the numbers.

Then I came across this: ~H2O+ Sea Results Overnight Perfecting Peel. It looks fantastic as it promises to revitalize & resurface skin texture.

This is the description taken off ~H2O+ website:

Wow! It sounds like the perfect product. No wonder the name Overnight Perfecting Peel. Haha.

The ingredients look good too

Sea Lettuce - Combines with Wakame and Sea Fennel to hydrate skin.

Going through the list, I think it is basically an AHA; a very mild one suitable for home use.

I decided to get it to try. Especially since I was experiencing clog pores near the chin. This product seems good for clog pores.

After using it for about a month every night, I would say it’s really not bad!

It’s not magical like tremendous results overnight. It’s more like refining the skin texture over time and also helps with clog pores. I still experience some pimples though.

One thing to note; there will be some slight redness experienced in the initial stage. I had some redness at the cheekbones area, but I didn’t mind that, coz that made it look like blusher. Haha.
But that went away after a few days.

Upon application, the skin will will slightly dry after a minute or 2, so apply moisturiser over!

This is how the inside looks like (small tube disguised in a big shell):

Overall, it is a worth to buy product.
